“To date the Community Bank has given back, $1,752,484 to the community, which is a huge achievement for the bank and the Rosewood community,” she said.
“This year the bank board were able to present a targeted grant to the Rosewood Uniting Church Goodwill Shop of $14,490, which will be used to enclose the back and side verandah on the shop building to ensure all donations are safe and secure.”

Rosewood A&H Society President Pat Lenihan said the society was extremely grateful to have received the grant as there is a desperate need for the grandstands.
“As a result of the growing crowds at our annual show and bull ride and to accommodate families and spectators to other events that are held at the grounds annually, the new grandstands will make a huge difference,” he said.
“It is clear that the society needs to accommodate a more fit-for-purpose seating area to assist patrons to better enjoy entertainment and activities that are on display while improving safety within the grounds. We are extremely grateful to the bank in assisting us to make this happen.”
• The Rosewood RSL Sub Branch received $10,000 to be used for upgrades to the kitchen located in the RSL Memorial hall.
Rosewood RSL Sub Branch Secretary Carmel Luetchford said the sub branch plans to upgrade the kitchen area in the Memorial Hall which has currently been decommissioned by the Ipswich City Council due to asbestos in the walls and ceilings.
“The kitchen area contains a defunct commercial rangehood which will need to be removed to allow this project to proceed, however removal of this appliance will impact on the ceiling and the walls, which have been identified by the building owners as containing asbestos,” she said.
“This asbestos will be removed by certified contractors and the area will be made good with appropriate ceiling and wall panelling, also any electrical work and painting will be carried out with these works.”
Sponsorships presented on the night were $10,000 to the Rosewood Golf Club for a new shed, $1700 to the Rosewood and District Support Centre for their annual free family fun days and $2500 dollars to the Rosewood Hack and Pony Club to purchase a new fridge.
