BOWLERS travelled from all over Queensland to compete in the Rosewood Bowls Club Men’s Carnival on November 25 and 26, at the Rosewood Bowls Club.
The carnival is one of the biggest competitions held at the club and consisted of two full days of bowls, where more than 70 men took to the green.
The overall prize pool for the competition was $3,600 dollars, first place overall winners Dave Hobden’s team took home $1200 and runner up, third and fourth place overall winners shared the remaining $2400 prize pool.
Throughout the competition, competitors enjoyed a buffet lunch, a roast meal and a multi raffle draw.
Club President Terry Hobden said that the weather was “great”.
“It was great to see a full green again for this annual carnival that attracted players from the Sunshine Coast, Chinchilla, Nimbin, Brisbane and Ipswich to compete with our own teams from Rosewood,” he said.
“All teams played a great game, and they put on a fantastic show for the spectators who joined us throughout the two full days.”
