Rosewood Lions Citizen of the Year nominee Ronald White

He was nominated for the award by members of the Rosewood and District Support Centre and is described as an active and highly valued volunteer of the centre.

In November 2013, Ron commenced his work with the centre and prior to this was instrumental in the initial conversations regarding opening a Men’s Work Shed in Rosewood.

As a result of Ron’s conversation, the program which is now known as the Rosewood Men’s Workshop commenced and has been a successful for more than 11 years.

In 2013, Ron also began volunteering in the role of a Medilink driver for the community centre, providing non-emergency transport to and from Brisbane for seniors living in Rosewood and surrounding areas.
