LIONS do more than sell fruit cakes … it may be a message you’ve read before … and the Rosewood Lions are determined it’s one you will hear again.
In a continuing marketing drive for membership and for community awareness, the Club has highlighted its wide variety of activities on a wall in John Street.
Club member, Tanya Johnson is behind the initative with some help from her friends.
“I created the display and with the assistance of Lion Mike Golgerth and Darren McAlpine and Kathy McLeod from Rosewood Hardware, the information board outside the store,” Tanya said.
“It shows that our Lions Club does more than simply hold monthly sausage sizzles and sell fruit cakes.”
Tanya described her project as a community effort.
“Ann from CS Digital Print, made up the Rosewood Lions Club banner.
“I made up the A4 signs and Mike fitted out and purchased the backing boards.
On Monday, we all gathered at the hardware store to fit the display board in place – a difficult job.”
