Free events for school holidays

TWENTY-SIX free events are on offer for kids for school holidays through the Active and Healthy program.

The line-up of activities includes four new Come and Try days at Redbank Plains, Riverview, Goodna and Rosewood for families with children of all ages, and two new programs for getting teens active.

The Come and Try days will be held from 9am to 1pm as follows:

• September 18, Hayden Park, Riverview – including soccer, scooter tricks, hockey, lawn games, basketball and scouts; September 18, Anzac Park, Rosewood, including volleyball, soccer, hockey, touch football, lawn games, taekwondo, face-painting and scouting activities.

• September 27, Evan Marginson Park, Goodna, including hockey, lawn games, early years activities, netball, touch football and scouting activities.

Parents/caregivers are asked to bring their own chair to stay for a few hours at the Come and Try Days as seating will be limited.
