A CARPARK isn’t the most obvious location for a bull ride, but Rosewood’s Rising Sun Hotel made it work.
Bulls and Beers is an event run at various locations by Rosewood couple Gabe Wood and Tara Warburton.
Last Friday night, the carpark was cordoned off and made ready for the pounding of hooves as riders tried desperately to keep their seats.
Bull riding started at 7pm and soon enough the area was full of punters watching bulls shake the cowboys off.
The crowd was a mix of ages, parents with children, adults and couples all clamouring for some action.
Face painting and an animal farm kept the kids busy and food trucks meant dinner was sorted.
As the night wore on, families with children returned home and night owls stayed to play.
The In the Pit After Party was a fun way to make the night last longer.
This is the second time Rising Sun Hotel have hosted a bull ride and judging by its success, there is hopefully a third in the future.
