LAST week’s edition carried a story about an application to construct stables on a property at Marburg.
We understand we have caused confusion by our use of the word ‘rezoning’.
The property is currently in the Rural C zone and if the application is approved by the Ipswich City Council, it will remain in the Rural C zone.
However, the application is for a Material Change of Use – that means the applicants are applying to change the way the property is used – in the case at point, to Intensive Animal Husbandry (Horse Stables).
So, again if the application is approved, the categorisation of the property will be Intensive Animal Husbandry (Horse Stable) within the Rural C – Living Zone.
