AS THE festivities played out at the Rosewood Show last Saturday, a more low key event was taking place nearby as Rosewood Lions held the annual changeover dinner while celebrating the club’s 50th year.
Outgoing President was Bernie Newell and incoming, Mike Golgerth.
The new board for the Lions Club of Rosewood was installed by past member and Past Council chairperson Kim Forrest.
During the ceremony the new President spoke of his vision for his year ahead in office as well as his willingness to listen and hear all members.
Supporting the local community through Lion’s projects within Australia and abroad would be a focus.
Several awards were presented to Lion’s members for their efforts in going above and beyond during the year by outgoing President Bernie Newell.
He said the evening was an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and sometimes, unseen work, that goes into running a successful club.
