John Street break in

Police are investigating the break and enter of a premises in John Street, Rosewood which occurred overnight on Saturday September 3.

Unknown offender/s broke through the front door and stole items including machinery, tools, home appliances and gardening tools, before exiting the property.

Thagoona break and enter

Rosewood Police are investigating the break and enter of a dwelling on Thagoona Haigslea Road, Thagoona, which occurred overnight on Thursday, September 8.

Unknown offender/s entered through a locked garage and stole fuel from a vehicle before exiting the property.

Appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has knowledge of these break and enters to contact their local police station or call Crimestoppers.

Residents are reminded that if they wish to report a crime to police then the only approved methods are by attending a police station in person or by reporting through Policelink on 131 444.

Posting about an incident on Facebook or other social media platforms will not result in Police investigating the complaint.

In court

On August 26 on John Street, Rosewood, a Ripley man, 33, was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court in relation to drink driving. A reading of 0.058% will be alleged.

On August 27 on John Street, Rosewood, a Capalaba man, 47, was issued with a Notice to Appear in Court in relation to drink driving. A reading of 0.083% will be alleged.

On September 7 in Rosewood, a woman, 27, was issued with a Notice to Appear in Court in relation to drink driving. A reading of 0.028% will be alleged. The woman held a Learners Licence and should have had a 0.0% reading.

Rosewood Police will be out and about, issuing tickets or sending people to court, receiving tickets is voluntary, based on your actions, please obey the rules and consider pledging to improve just one part of your driving to be safer on the road.

Rural Road Safety Month:

This September marks the 5th annual Australian Road Safety Foundation’s Rural Road Safety Month which is national community-based road safety initiative designed to highlight the additional risks when driving on rural and remote roads across Australia.

It may be surprising to read that rural road crashes account for more than 65 percent of the Australian road toll.

Rosewood Police are asking you to get involved, make a promise to be the change you want to see on the road by choosing road safety and being a safer and better road user.
