Poetry Corner – Look Up

Guest Writer

Be on guard, so that no one deceives you.

There shall he famines and pestilences,

And earthquakes in many places!

You would have to say, this is true!

Remember 2019?

No lockdowns, no mask mandates, no check ins,

Then all of a sudden, it all begins,

Thanks to Wuhan.

Life is now a misery for man.

Social distancing, vaccination mandates,

Freedom to travel comes to an end,

As governments close the gates.

Covid-19 has morphed into a form of soft tyranny.

In the guise of public safety.

After two years, millions of people remain under severe restrictions.

Is there any end in sight?

There doesn’t seem to be!

In spite of all this,

We must not lose hope, and give up!

The best advice would be,

When everything looks down, look up!

So, be on guard, let no one deceive you at all,

Don’t lose the plot,

Be strong and stand tall.
