NEW lease terms have been adopted for the Rosewood Community Centre to secure the lease for the Rosewood and District Support Centre.
The centre has been run for more than 22 years and offers emergency relief, JP signing, health and wellbeing activities and pop-up hubs in Marburg, Grandchester, and Walloon.
The support provided by volunteers allows the centre to offer a wide range of programs and activities that are responsive to the community’s needs.
The group continued to occupy the facility after the lease expired in 2019, utilising the holding-over provision outlined in the lease agreement.
The occupation has been on a month-to-month basis, maintaining the same terms and conditions as stipulated in the expired lease.
The new lease stipulates an annual $1 rent if demanded by Council and extends for five years.
