TROPHIES and special plaques were presented to Rosewood’s top bowlers at the Bowls Club’s annual presentation night.
Throughout the year, competitors competed in single, pairs, triples, fours and other individual competitions against Rosewood bowlers and also bowlers from other clubs in the Ipswich and surrounding areas.
Club President Terry Hobden presented the awards and congratulated each recipient on their achievements.
“Ross Hanley is the singles champion, Greg James and Sean Kedge are the pairs champions, Julie Hagan, Debbie Grantz and Wendy Feilding were presented triples champions and Allan Madar, Bill Kotsh, Sean Kedge and Greg James were the fours champions for 2023,” he said.
“Veterans badges were awarded to Cobby Claydon, Dudley Eckert, Frank Feilding, Dez Frohloff, Rodney Hogan, Noel Joy, Bill Kelly, Paul McNamara and Ian King with super veteran’s badges being presented to Cobby Claydon, Frank Feilding and Bill Kelly.
“The veteran’s badge is awarded to members of the club who have reached 70 years of age, with the super veteran’s badge being awarded to those members who are 80.
“Karen Kington was awarded with the Presidents Plate and life members of the Rosewood club, Matt Dale, Ede Bambling and Greg James were also recognised.”
While members enjoyed the presentation and the awards ceremony, they were treated to snacks and treats over cold drinks supplied by the club, to recognise the members achievements throughout the year.
