THE Rosewood community were invited to the cutting of an anniversary cake to celebrate the Bendigo Rosewood and District Community Bank Branch’s 18th birthday.
The official date of the bank’s birthday was Tuesday December 5, though to kick off celebrations the branch held a free sausage sizzle and shared birthday cake outside the Rosewood Hardware on Saturday.
The Branch’s Treasurer and Director, Eirys Heit said that members from the bank took the birthday celebration opportunity to meet with families within the area.
“The Rosewood Lions cooked up a sausage sizzle and served drinks, which was funded by the bank so the community could enjoy a morning tea alongside cold drinks for free,” she said.
“To express our gratitude to the Lions the bank also presented the club with a $200 donation for their time and support throughout the morning.
“More than 180 sausages were served alongside 120 drinks, so it was a great morning, that was thoroughly enjoyed by all of the members of the bank, the Rosewood Lions and the community.”
Members from the bank also handed out free calendars, lollies and pens to all families who attended the celebration.
