THE Rosewood Anglican Church community have welcomed the community to join them for a morning tea over fellowship each Friday morning on their church grounds.
Anglican church parishioner Shirley Dance said that each Friday the congregation opens the doors on their shed where hundreds of items are awaiting a new home.
“There are many treasures that have been kindly donated to our church, from clothes, kitchenware, books, children’s toys and many other items, that we sell for a small price with all monies raised going back to the community,” she said.
“Each year our church community comes together to talk about what fellow community group we can assist or help and it is always nice to be able to help them by sharing funds that we have raised throughout the year.
“Not only do we enjoy sharing our treasures with others, but we really enjoy sharing conversations with the people who join us each Friday.
“Our church is open to everyone and we would really like to add to our Friday morning group.
“The kettle is always on and our cakes and treats are always ready to be shared.”
The gathering circle under the trees next to the church is now being used. It is place that has been described as peaceful and relaxing.
“The church grounds are surrounded by lots of shade from the trees, and lots of colour from our gardens, so it is nice to be able to enjoy the surrounds while engaging with each other’s,” she said.
“Also, with Cabanda Care only a short walk from our church, we encourage any Cabanda residents to also join us, for a morning out for some great banter in beautiful surroundings.”
