Letter to the Editor – Western Resource Recovery Centre Update

Re: Council states new proposed Rosewood Resource Recovery Centre will be a far cry from the historical tip (MBN 18.08.23)

I WRITE to clarify points made in this article, and to assure your readers that the location of the future Western Resource Recovery Centre has not been decided.

Council recently finished engaging with residents about the centre, including seeking suggestions on potential site locations.

Submissions received from the community are now being reviewed, with a report on preferred locations expected later this year.

As no decision has been made on the location at this time, it is not accurate to refer to the centre as being in Rosewood.

Council understands that the final location of a resource recovery centre is of great interest to the community and will keep you updated on progress.
