Spark shines a light on the arts

ARIA award-winning musician Christine Anu added celebrity appeal to the Spark festival on Thursday with a performance in d’Arcy Doyle Place to launch the 11-day celebration of the arts.

The city’s landmark buildings were transformed with art installations for Spark with the event continuing this week with Common People Dance Eisteddfod at the Ipswich Civic Centre on Sunday, Little Day Out at Ripley Town Centre on Sunday, free performances and art workshops in Tulmur Place on the weekend and a series of shows around the city’s venues.
