WALLOON Dental is hoping to get the go ahead from the Ipswich City Council to construct a new dental surgery in Queen Street Walloon.
In documents lodged with the Council’s planning department last month, the business outlines plans to demolish the fire-destroyed remains of a heritage listed building on the site at 7 Queen Street, and also to gain a material change of use to make way for the construction of a dental surgery.
The heritage building on the 1,012sqm site was a Queenslander home. On December 10, 2022, a fire broke out in the interior of the home with the result that it was irreparably destroyed.
Now Walloon Dental are proposing to build a single-storey building with 12 on site parking spaces and landscaped surrounds.
The application is currently under review by the Council planning department.
