Region’s eateries on the upsurge

“WE’RE spoilt for choice in this region when it comes to eateries and entertainment – we really are”

This is a comment from a regular patron of the ever-increasing openings of local eateries and the announcement of new events and entertainment.

I was asked to write a similar story about 10 years ago and remember thinking that the options for dining out were pretty limited and the entertainment options were equally sparse.

The eateries and entertainment scene locally and in the nearby city and the Scenic Rim has a markedly different landscape in 2023.

So, we welcome you to our new section on Dining and Entertainment.

The Covid lockdowns hit the sector hard but those which were able to tough out the closing of their doors for the period have bounced back well.

And the increasing popularity of rural and regional destinations by tourists has acted as a boost to the sector.

We encourage readers to consider trying out all the options offered in this section – the choices are certainly wide and varied.
