Labour Day fun at the Marburg races

AN eight-race line up attracted families to the Marburg Pacing Association’s May Day Pace at the Marburg Show Grounds last Monday.

Families were welcomed to the track with great weather, free entertainment for the children, activities throughout the day and a chance to back race favourites over the finish line.

Joining the pacing on the track were the miniature trot races, with drivers dressed in bright silks.

Expert tips were shared throughout the day from Marburg Pacing Association Secretary Denis Smith, Anthony Collins and a Marburg mystery man.

Association President Scott Neaves congratulated and walked alongside the winner after each race for an interview, before presenting them with the winning prize.
