Operation Anticline

OVER the Easter break there was an increased presence of both local Rosewood Police and police from the Highway Patrol unit on the roads in the Rosewood area.

Rosewood Police conducted more than 600 Random Breath Test’s and as a result police issued seven traffic infringements notices, arrested one drink driver and impounded the vehicle of a repeat unlicensed driver.

Rosewood Police would like to congratulate the vast majority of the motorists intercepted during this period for doing the right thing and driving safely over the entire Easter school holiday period.

Rosewood experienced one traffic crash, in comparison to five traffic crashes that were experienced over the same period in 2022.

Braking the Cycle

The Police Citizens Youth Club Braking the Cycle program is a police volunteer driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers who do not have access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours.

The aim of the program is to provide young people with increased employment opportunities, community connection and driver education.

Officers from the Rosewood police station are volunteering their time as mentors for this program and are available to provide free mentoring to assist with helping your child to complete their log book hours and to be the safest drivers possible.

For more information contact Rosewood Police or the Rosewood State High School administration.

Vehicle arsons
