ON February 19, two juvenile offenders were arrested in relation to lighting a fire which caused damage to a pole and concrete at the Tom Lenihan Park in Rosewood. A third juvenile is currently outstanding. The two juveniles have been dealt with by way of juvenile caution under the Youth Justices Act.
On February 25 at around 8pm, on Bennett Street in Rosewood, a man struck another man with a bat which had nails embedded in its surface. Injuries were caused to the victim’s leg. Detectives from the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating with the assistance of Rosewood Police.
The Rosewood Police are asking the public for any information in regards to this incident.
On March 2, at approximately 10.30am police went to a property on Albert Street in Rosewood in relation to a search warrant. A man is currently assisting police with their inquiries. Investigations are continuing.
Police are also appealing for information from members of the public in relation to an arson investigation, whereby an unoccupied dwelling on McGearys Road in Thagoona was set alight. If you have any information in relation to this matter, please contact Rosewood Police.
