THE Rosewood Lions will host the Rosewood Lions Citizen of the Year Award ceremony at the Rosewood State School Hall on Australia Day.
The Citizen of the Year Award recognises the important role that community members play in the community and within organisations and groups.
This year the three nominees for the award are Ben Abraham, Christine Forrest and Alex Mair who have all contributed and made a difference within the lives of others.
The Club’s Citizen of the Year Co-ordinator Clyde Nicoll said the Lions look forward to the event each year.
“It gives families the chance to come together to congratulate the special people who contribute to the community and the lives of others every day,” he said.
“It is a pleasure to be able to congratulate all of our nominees for the award and to hear about all of the things that they do to make a difference.
“There are many valued volunteers within our community, who all make the community a better place to live in and to be involved in, and that is what this award is all about.”
