Tiny and cute with a big personality, Chihuahua Suki enjoys her outings with owner Helen Bright into the Rosewood Lions Opportunity Shop where her presence brings lots of smiles.
Suki is 20 months old and she weights just one kilogram.
Her relatives and pedigree are from the Bramvers Chihuahuas in Japan, and according to her owner, she has been a real little fighter ever since she was born.
Helen Bright is a volunteer at the Opportunity Shop and has been involved in showing and judging dogs for over 20 years.
“I have travelled all over Australia and the world and my involvement with shows has brought purpose in my life. I have met so many unique people and I’ve seen an array of beautiful pedigrees,” she said.
Suki means the world to Helen. She was very small when she was born.
“Her pure determination and strength inspires me, which is why her size should not fool you as she has a real big personality and a real love for life,” Helen said.
“Suki is very outgoing and when families meet her, they just fall in love, often people stop me to request a selfie and she has even been for a ride in a police car because the police also wanted a photo.
“Being able to bring Suki along to the Lions shop is great because it provides her with an outing for the morning and it also creates a real friendly environment when people see her, because they always stop for a chat and a pat.
“Although Suki is small, she never hesitates to play with other dogs and she just loves going for a walk and exploring.
“Her confidence has now soared and she has realised that she can be independent.”
Suki may be small in stature, but she is living life large, from day trips, to pampering and big hugs from all who meet her.
