TEACHERS were acknowledged for their service, and appreciation was shared for the many ways they provide support to young people on World Teachers Day on Friday, October 28.
Rosewood State School Principal Georgia O’Shea said their school community celebrated all staff at a special breakfast.
“All the staff enjoyed each other’s company and wished each other a Happy World Teachers Day, a departmental ribbon was also given out to signify the day,” she said.
“Our teachers make a difference every day through educating and inspiring and this day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and thank Queensland teachers for their important role in our communities and for the positive impact that they have on the lives of students.”
Celebrations of the day was also shared at St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School.
Principal Duane Wann said on the day, three teachers, Kim Reeves, Louise Steed and Julia Sugars were also presented with certificates from Brisbane Catholic Education.
“As part of the activities, Kim Reeves and Louise Steed were congratulated for 15 years of service and Julia Sugars was congratulated for 20 years of service with Brisbane Catholic Education,” he said.
