ROSEWOOD State High School acknowledged the high achieving students of 2022.
Students received academic, sporting and encouragement awards and were invited to the stage to be congratulated in front of their family and friends.
Ipswich West MP Jim Madden was invited to the ceremony and congratulated school Principal Nicole Sherlock and the staff on “a wonderful night to celebrate the student’s individual success”.
“The night was very enjoyable and it was a wonderful awards ceremony held in the Diane Clegg Student Centre,” he said.
“As well as congratulating the students who received awards, it was lovely to see the high school concert band, led by Michael McKay, play throughout the night.
“The students kept things rocking all night, while the hall was full of proud parents, friends and relatives who all came together to congratulate their children.
“Also, to witness extra support to the school community from the Rosewood Lions, the Bendigo Bank, the University of Southern Queensland and other organisations was just fantastic.
“Congratulations to all involved and thank you to Principal Sherlock for inviting me to such a special annual event.”
As students were congratulated with applause and a hand shake, they were encouraged to keep up their hard work and dedication within their school work and the school community.
