Rosewood Police are investigating a break and enter of premises on MacKellar Street Walloon which occurred during the mid-morning on October 10, where an unknown offender/s have broken in through the front door, stealing items inside before exiting the property.

This offence occurred in broad daylight and police are appealing for information regarding any suspicious behaviour observed on MacKellar Street on that day.

Rosewood Police are seeking information regarding the theft of several motor vehicles within the Rosewood and surrounding areas by an unknown person in a tow truck. Police have received several reports of undriveable vehicles being removed from private property yards and the roadside without the permission of the owners. Police are appealing for members of the public to remain observant of tow trucks and car trailers being used to load vehicles from yards and report the tow truck registration details to police for verification purposes.

Rosewood Police are investigating a break and enter of the Mobil Service station at Walloon, which occurred overnight on October 14, at about 1.20am on October 15 an unknown offender/s have smashed the glass front door of the service station, entered the property and stole a quantity of cigarettes. The offenders have then left the premises in a vehicle. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has knowledge of these break and enters to contact their local police station or call Crimestoppers.

Residents are reminded that if they wish to report a crime to police then the only approved methods are by attending a police station in person or reporting through Policelink on 131 444. Posting about an incident on Facebook or other social media platforms will not result in police investigating your complaint.

In court

On October 12, on Karrabin Rosewood Road Rosewood, a Haigslea woman, 23, was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court after crashing her vehicle through the fence of a house yard. The woman was charged with failing to drive with due care and attention and drink driving, with a reading of 0.230%.

On October 15, on Mill Street, Rosewood, a Walloon man, 22, was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court in relation to drink driving, with a reading of 0.075%. The man was also issued traffic fines in relation to his driving prior to interception. Police will allege that the man was hooning in his vehicle and crashed into a power pole with an unrestrained passenger in the vehicle. The man was issued with fines totalling $2,113 and nine demerit points.

On October 16 on Rosewood Warrill View Road, Rosewood, a vehicle stolen from Ferny Hills was being driven by three juvenile male persons aged 13, 14 and 14. The vehicle crashed near the Brimblecombe’s Bridge, all three juveniles were apprehended by Rosewood Police and an officer from the Police Dog Squad. The juveniles were dealt with in accordance with the Juvenile Justice Act.
