A SEA of red and green filled the St Brigid’s Catholic School oval as students competed in their O’Rourke and Casey sporting teams.
Parents, staff and families cheered on from the side lines and encouraged the children to do their best as they accumulated points for their teams and competed for their age champion title.
They competed in shotput, long jump, high jump, ball games and running, completing these events with just for fun relays where the teachers and parents joined in.
Spectators were on the edge of their seats during the relays and after a very close race, the parents were first over the finish line.
The Father Charlie race saw selected students compete for the plaque, all competitors came close to the win, though the winner on the day was Harper who was very pleased with his result.
After a busy day on the field school Principal Duane Wann congratulated the students for their efforts and thanked everyone involved in making the sports day a success.
The points were tallied and O’Rourke House was crowned as the winner.
House Captains Rebekah Clark and Cooper Clark were all smiles as they accepted the winning shield.
