ST BRIGID Catholic School 2021 Academic Awards were presented by Principal Duane Wann to students last week in front of their families and teachers.
Mr Wann said the awards were categorised and each student who received an award “should be very proud of their individual achievement”.
The Mathematics Progress Award was presented to students who showed “great diligence when working on mathematical tasks and who, due to this work ethic, have displayed considerable growth in their understanding of maths concepts”.
The English Progress Award was presented to students “who have worked tirelessly to improve all facets of English skills and who have experienced commendable growth in ability, knowledge and confidence”.
The General Studies Award was presented to students “who have approached all subjects with enthusiasm, diligence and a positive attitude and who have displayed extensive skills, base and knowledge”.
The Cultural Award was presented to students “who have contributed to the Arts”.
The School Spirit Award was presented to students who have made contributions to the school at special events.
Mercy Medallions honouring the Sisters of Mercy were also presented to students who displayed good virtues.
