THE Marburg race track came to life last Sunday for the Marburg Pacing Associations 40th anniversary celebration.
Volunteers worked to provide their famous hamburgers and cheesecakes that accompanied cold beers and beverages to the crowd.
Families enjoyed the hospitality and the chance to cheer on their race favourites to the finish line.
Children were entertained all day with a dolphin water slide, colouring in, a soccer target game and the funny money raffle that concluded the day.
Race goer Brian Chase said he regularly attended the Marburg Races.
“You cannot find a more family friendly day out that caters for all ages in a friendly and safe environment.
“I attend the race days with my wife and sometimes with my daughter and grandchildren, we always have such a great day and enjoy catching up with our friends at the event,” he said.
“I congratulate the association on reaching 40 years as a successful club and I wish them many more successful years into the future.”
