THE Rosewood St Luke’s Men’s Group recently hosted a brunch with Chaplain Kevin Booth from the Amberley Air Force Base.
Men’s Group member Col Clifford said members gathered for breakfast and then listened to Chaplin Booth, who explained his role as one of the seven Chaplains based at Amberley.
“Chaplain Booth served in Afghanistan with the Australian Special Forces and the role he played in offering the Special Forces members provided a release valve for the tension they endured while patrolling,” Col said.
“The members gained a new understanding and an idea of what it means to be a Special Forces Soldier.
“The talk was also a catalyst for some men to talk openly about their own real-life experiences and overall it was a truly heart-warming outcome for all of our members.”
