ROBBIE’S Rebels Boxers will be competing on home turf next weekend in the Club’s annual boxing tournament at the Rosewood State High School.
Competitors will be travelling from interstate to take on the Rosewood boxers who their coach says will be in peak form.
“Locals will be treated to some top-class boxing by some very experienced and talented young athletes as well as a number of new fighters who will be entering the ring for the first time,” says coach Robbie Sbeghen.
“Jesse Jenner, known for knocking out the current Australian Champion at the last Rosewood tournament, will also be returning to the ring.”
The event is being organised with the help and support of School Principal Nicole Sherlock who said that boxing as a sport really brings the community together.
“This is a great sport for young people and all of the sponsors are very important for the event to be successful and we really appreciate their support,” she said.
While the top class entertainment is underway in the boxing ring, the event will be catered and a bar will be open with all proceeds going to support the high school.
