Moreton House takes out the win at Haigslea Sports Carnival

HAIGSLEA State School welcomed back families and friends to support their students once again in their individual and team events at the annual sports day carnival.

Principal Emily Robinson said that it was a very close competition and this year it was the Moreton House who took out the win.

“Stark Abraham was awarded the Downey Award for Best Sportsperson after he stopped running in his 200 metre race to support a fellow participant who had fallen over,” she said.

“Stark put others needs before his own desires and that is inspirational for such a young man.”
