Crime

Scrap metal theft

Overnight on April 18, Rosewood Police were called to the Jeebropilly mine site on Ipswich Rosewood Road after receiving a report of powerlines across the road.

Police saw that the mine site had been entered, two timber power poles had been cut down and a quantity of scrap metal had been stolen from the location.

The offenders left several items behind at the scene which are currently subject to forensic examination.

Entry to motor vehicle

Overnight on April 18, two people gained entry to a vehicle on Madden Lane Rosewood and stole a wallet and tools.

Both offenders were captured on CCTV footage and were chased away by the occupant of the home.

Unlawful use motor vehicle

Overnight on April 18, a Toyota Landcruiser was stolen from a Fyfe Street Walloon address. The vehicle was located outside a Booval address later that day and contained property that did not belong to the victim.

The vehicle was also used in a petrol offence at Blacksoil.

Several other vehicles were entered or attempted to be entered overnight on April 18 in Walloon and police have reason to believe that the incidents are linked.

Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding these incidents to call Crimestoppers or the Rosewood Police.
