FLOODING in the Bremer River occurred on Sunday morning and was pushed even higher on Tuesday morning.
More than 130mm fell overnight in Rosevale (measured at the Church of Christ) on Saturday – Sunday, which caused significant flooding along its course through to Rosewood.
On Monday night, another deluge which dropped 120mm of rain on Rosevale brings the total for the 72 hour period to more than 250mm (10 inches).
Zac Christensen, who lives further downstream in Rosevale, reported on Tuesday morning that the total there for the 72 hours was 200mm (8 inches).
“All I can say is there is a lot of water going into the Bremer – the river takes 12 hours to reach Rosewood from here and another 12 hours to reach Ipswich.”
